Enjoyed your pictures Heather! Looks like you had a fantastic time. Sean and I didn't remember hearing about the beauty of the mountains in Kapan before. It looks breathtaking! Glad to hear you had a good trip and have arrived safely back to Korea.

What are A-9s? A-14s?

Heather, thanks for the gorgeous pictures of Armenia. They really took me back there. Even the faces of people I'd never met felt familiar. Sorry we couldn't join you this time!

So this is a bit late, but to answer Heather Michelle's question: A-9s were the 9th group of Peace Corps volunteers to serve in Armenia; A-14s are halfway through their service now. When Ben (one of my fellow A-9s) was in Armenia this summer he met some of the A-15s who were in training at the time. He introduced himself as an A-9 and one of them responded, "A-9?!? How old are you?" I suppose I shouldn't laugh too hard at that; when we were in Armenia, it sure seemed like it must have been eons since the A-3s were there.
